This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Garmo Blanco area. With a total distance of 11.164 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1453 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart. Make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
As you start your journey, you'll come across the Refugio Casa de Piedra alpine hut, a great spot to rest and take in the surrounding beauty. Further along the trail, about 0.44 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Fuente de La Laguna fountain, perfect for refilling your water bottles.
As you continue on, you'll pass by several water sources, such as the Collado Pondiellos and the various peaks like Punda Garmo Blanco and Pico deros Arnals. At around 5.58 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Garmo Blanco peak, offering breathtaking views of the area.
Don't miss the Cascada del Argualas waterfall, located about 0.41 kilometers from the trail. And if you need a break, there are several rest areas and information points along the way.
