The trail starts at a parking area, making it convenient for hikers to begin their journey. As you set off, you'll pass by the Cappella di San Giorgio, a historic ruins site located approximately 1.73 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to explore and learn about the area's past.
Further along the trail, at about 1.68 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Rifugio Lorenzo Nicola, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Nearby, you'll also find Monte San Giorgio, a peak offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several information points providing insights into the natural and cultural heritage of the region. Be sure to keep an eye out for the wayside shrine and wayside cross, both located along the trail.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, at around 1.66 kilometers from the start, you'll find a takeoff site for free flying enthusiasts. It's a unique sight to witness as paragliders soar through the sky.
Towards the end of the trail, at approximately 1.74 kilometers from the start, you'll reach a viewpoint offering breathtaking vistas of the area. Take a moment to soak in the beauty before heading back.
With a total distance of 3.471 kilometers and an elevation gain of 476 meters, this hike is suitable for those with moderate hiking experience. Be sure to bring plenty of water, as well as snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on your adventure.
