Welcome to the Monte Perdido hiking route!

Monte Perdido, meaning "Lost Mountain" in Spanish, is a challenging hiking trail located in a beautiful natural area. The route is an out-and-back type, which means you will retrace your steps on the way back.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area near the trailhead, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the adventure. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as this trail covers a distance of approximately 32.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 3153 meters, making it extremely difficult.

Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest such as the Pequeño Lago Helado, a small frozen lake located around the 15.5 kilometer mark. This picturesque spot is a great place to take a break and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.

Further ahead, at around 5.9 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Collado de Anisclo, a saddle that offers stunning panoramic views of the area.

One of the highlights of the route is the Monte Perdido peak, located at approximately 16.47 kilometers from the start. The peak provides a rewarding challenge for hikers and offers breathtaking views from the summit.

As you continue on the trail, you will pass by other interesting landmarks such as the Punta del Valle peak and the Collado Superior de Goriz saddle. Be sure to stay on the trail and follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable hike.
