Located in the beautiful Vercors region, the Sentier Central hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for avid hikers. With a total distance of 12.736 kilometers and an elevation gain of 667 meters, this extremely difficult trail will take you approximately 4 hours and 36 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will find yourself at the Place du Grand Creux, a convenient parking area located right at the start of the trail. Make sure to take a moment to admire the stunning views before setting off. Along the way, you will come across the Fontaine de Tiolache, a natural spring located 5.7 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to rest and refill your water bottles.
