The hiking route in Antras is an extremely difficult 24.46-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1199 meters. Starting at Antras, hikers will encounter various points of interest along the way.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you progress, you will come across the Cabane du Troumas wilderness hut located 5.8 kilometers from the start, offering a place to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along at 6.45 kilometers, you'll find the Cabane de la Loze shelter, although it is slightly off the trail.
One of the natural landmarks to look out for is the Pierre Cabane rock formation at 0.98 kilometers from the start, providing a unique sight along the trail. Additionally, the Fontaine Escudié spring at 2.08 kilometers offers a refreshing stop for hikers.
As you continue on, you'll reach the Cabane des Puges - castillonais shelter at 8.24 kilometers and the Refuge Forestier ONF de la Fontaine de l'Isard wilderness hut at 5.23 kilometers, offering overnight accommodations for hikers. Along the way, there are several drinking water points and springs for refilling your water supply, such as Hount dés Capéras at 4.45 kilometers and Fontaine de l'Isard at 5.22 kilometers.
For those interested in peaks, the La Loze peak is located at 12.23 kilometers from the start, providing panoramic views of the surrounding area. Lastly, at the turnaround point, you'll find the Fontaine de Frechendech spring, a perfect spot to rest before heading back.
