This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Felsspalten, Fessure, Casati, Tre Cannoni, Martell, and Martello. With a total distance of 12.185 kilometers and an elevation gain of 728 meters, this challenging trail will push your limits and offer breathtaking views along the way.
Starting at Felsspalten, you'll come across a restaurant and alpine hut called Zufallhütte - Rifugio Nino Corsi just 1.23 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to refuel and take in the surrounding beauty before continuing your journey. As you hike further, you'll pass by Rudi's Würstelbude - Chiosco Würstel Rudi, a fast-food stand at the beginning of the trail.
Midway through the hike, you'll encounter a via ferrata at 1.1 kilometers from the start, adding an exciting element to your adventure. Additionally, there are several water sources along the trail, with one at 5.82 kilometers and another at 5.71 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing break for hikers.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across various points of interest such as the Nationalpark Stilfser Joch - Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio information center, a picnic site, historic ruins, a wayside cross, and benches to rest and take in the surroundings.
It's important to note that there are parking facilities available at Hausgäste Zufallhütte and Hausgäste Martellerhütte, both with associated fees.
