This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area of Les Angeliers, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The route is a circular one with a total distance of 11.285 kilometers and an elevation gain of 543 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 4 hours to complete.
You will start your journey at Parking La Chenalette, where you can leave your car before embarking on the trail. Along the way, you will come across various points of interest, such as the Refuge de Terre Rouge, an alpine hut located 4.35 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Around the 5.5 kilometer mark, you will find a water source, providing a refreshing stop for hikers. Just a short distance away, there is another water point that is slightly off the trail. It is recommended to fill up your bottles here to stay hydrated for the remainder of the hike.
As you continue on, you will pass by several information points, including L'Ordière and Notre Dame des Neiges, offering insights into the area's history and natural features. Additionally, make sure to visit the Chapelle Notre-Dame des Neiges and La Chenalette for a cultural experience along the way.
Towards the end of the hike, you will encounter Les Perches and Refuge de Terre Rouge, providing more information about the area and a chance to rest before completing the loop. Finally, as you make your way back to Parking La Chenalette, take in the scenic views and enjoy the sense of accomplishment from conquering this challenging hike.
