The hike to Zugspitze is an extremely difficult 38.61-kilometer route with an elevation gain of 2548 meters. This out-and-back trail will take you approximately 15 hours and 18 minutes to complete.

Starting your journey, you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the surrounding area. As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter several points of interest:

- Gamsalmhütte: A restaurant located 1.67 kilometers from the start point, where you can indulge in some delicious meals.
- Ehrwalder Almbahn: A parking area situated 5.38 kilometers into the hike, offering a convenient place to park your vehicle.
- Münchner Haus: An alpine hut located at the 19.2-kilometer mark, providing accommodation options for hikers.
- Ehrwalder Alm: Another alpine hut at the 8.04-kilometer mark, offering a rustic setting to rest and recharge.
- Abz. Brunntalgrat: A point of interest at the 15.45-kilometer mark, providing information for hikers.
- Ganghofer Hütte: A wheelchair-accessible restaurant located 6.79 kilometers into the hike, where you can grab a bite to eat.
- Am Brand: A saddle at the 12.02-kilometer mark, offering stunning panoramic views.
- Knorrhütte: An alpine hut at the 15.35-kilometer mark, providing another accommodation option for hikers.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter benches, viewpoints, information points, and other facilities to enhance your experience. It is advised to carry an ample water supply, wear proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey.
