This hiking route takes you through the stunning mountainous area around Refuge de la Dent Parrachée. The trail is 6.168 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 459 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. It is an out-and-back route, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back.
As you start your hike, you will pass by the Plan d'amont parking area, located just 0.32 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. About 3.08 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Refuge de la Dent Parrachée, where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain views. This alpine hut offers accommodation and can be a great resting point for hikers.
Further along the trail, at around 2.15 kilometers from the start, you will come across the Refuge de la Fournache, another alpine hut providing accommodation for hikers. Throughout the hike, you will also find several drinking water points and information areas to enhance your experience.
