This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Salt del Brull, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience for hikers. The total distance of the hike is approximately 9.238 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 170 meters, making it a difficult trail that will test your endurance.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. Be sure to check the weather forecast before heading out and bring an adequate supply of water for the hike. The trail will lead you through breathtaking natural landscapes, with various points of interest along the way.
About 1.89 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter el Gomarell, a beautiful water feature where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Further along the trail, at around 4 kilometers, you will reach Refugi de Sant Aniol d'Aguja, a wilderness hut where you can rest and refuel before continuing your adventure.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 4.45 kilometers, you will discover Gorja Citrò, a stunning waterfall that adds to the scenic beauty of the trail. As you make your way back, be sure to stop by Gorg del Citró and el Gorg Fosc, two more water features that offer a refreshing stop along the hike.
Throughout the trail, you will also come across various information points and viewpoints, such as Font de Sant Aniol and Ermita Sant Aniol d'Aguja, where you can learn more about the area and take in the picturesque views.
The route is an out-and-back type, with Salt del Brull as the destination point. The entire hike will take approximately 2 hours and 33 minutes to complete, depending on your pace and the time spent at each point of interest.
