This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Großer Valkastiel. The trail is 13.175 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1548 meters, so be prepared for a challenging and rewarding adventure.

Starting from the parking space at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards the Sarotlahütte alpine hut, located 4.15 kilometers from the start. As you make your way, you will come across an information point at 4.2 kilometers followed by the stunning peak of Großer Valkastiel at 6.59 kilometers.

Continuing on, you will reach the Eisernes Törle saddle at 6.23 kilometers, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape. Along the way, be sure to stop by the wayside crosses at 1.29 and 0.6 kilometers from the start for a touch of historic charm.

While hiking, it is essential to stay hydrated, so take advantage of the drinking water station located at 4.17 kilometers from the beginning. As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps on the way back, giving you a chance to admire the scenery from a different perspective.
