This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning viewpoints and natural attractions. The route is an out-and-back type, with the destination being the Jahrhundertturm.
Starting off, you will pass by the Kanapee viewpoint, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings, just 0.74 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, you will also come across the Felsenburg, an ancient archaeological site, and the Bastei peak, both around 0.81 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, at 0.9 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Basteibrücke, a picturesque bridge offering great photo opportunities. Further along the trail, you will encounter various peaks and climbing spots like the Biene, the Mönch, and the Verlorener Turm, providing a mix of natural beauty and adventure.
The total distance of the route is 1.853 kilometers with an elevation gain of 107 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. However, it is recommended to bring sufficient water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before heading out.
At the end of the hike, you can relax and grab a bite to eat at the Panorama-Snack or the Café am Hirschgrund, located near the Jahrhundertturm. Don't forget to enjoy the breathtaking views and take in the serenity of the natural surroundings during your trek.
