This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 14.614 kilometer journey to Monte Avic via the normale S-SW trail.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your ascent towards the peak of Raye Chevrère, located at a distance of 5.79 kilometers from the starting point. Although it's not directly on the trail, the peak offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area.
As you continue along the trail, you will come across several water sources at various points, including at 6.61, 6.67, and 6.73 kilometers from the start, providing ample opportunities to replenish your water supply.
Around the midway point of the hike, at approximately 2.91 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point labeled as 2B 2D, where you can learn more about the local area.
Further along the trail, at 1.29 kilometers from the start, a shelter is available for hikers to take a rest and seek refuge if needed.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter several more information points, fountains for drinking water, and additional water sources to keep you hydrated.
The trail culminates with a challenging climb towards Monte Avic, offering a rewarding sense of accomplishment upon reaching the summit.
