This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sonnenburger Kopf - Colle del Castello. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 3.27 kilometers and an elevation gain of 176 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trail. Just a short distance away, you will encounter an archaeological site known as Römische Ausgrabung, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past.
Further along the trail, approximately 1.49 kilometers from the start, you will find another archaeological site called Archeo. This site provides another opportunity to explore the rich history of the region.
As you continue your hike, you will pass by an off-trail archaeological site located 0.27 kilometers from the start, followed by another on-trail archaeological site situated 0.19 kilometers away.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.6 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Sonnenburger Kopf - Colle del Castello. Here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape as a rewarding end to your journey.
