This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes and historical landmarks. The trail is 4.479 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 494 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 16 minutes to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area, located right at the beginning of the hike. As you continue on, about 0.05 kilometers into the trail, you will reach the Ponte di legno Cantalupo, a picturesque picnic site perfect for a quick rest or snack.
About 0.22 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by the Strette del Borbera, an attraction worth noting although slightly off the trail. Keep an eye out for this interesting feature as you proceed on the path.
Midway through the hike, at 2.24 kilometers from the start, you will reach two peaks - one unnamed peak and the Croce degli Alpini peak. These peaks offer breathtaking views of the surrounding area and are great spots to take in the scenery.
On your way back, you will pass by the Stele ai caduti, a historic monument located right on the trail, as well as the Locanda Pertuso restaurant, ideal for a post-hike meal and relaxation.
