This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Drachenfels, where you will discover the ruins of Burgruine Drachenfels, a historic castle that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The trail starts at the parking area near Drachenfels, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this adventure.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by the Drachenfelshütte restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal or a refreshing drink before or after your trek. Along the way, you will also encounter the Schulerturm, a climbing spot that offers a different perspective of the area.

One of the highlights of this route is the Drachenfels viewpoint, located at the peak of the mountain. From here, you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the entire region. As you continue your journey, you will come across several information points that provide insights into the history and nature of the Drachenfels area.

Please remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear for this 7.11 km (round trip) hike with an elevation gain of 33 meters.
