This challenging 11.328-kilometer out-and-back trail will lead you through a beautiful area with a total elevation gain of 847 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding hike.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across the historic Fort de Giaure, located 1.92 kilometers from the start. This fort offers a glimpse into the area's past and is a great place to explore. As you continue on, you will pass by the Fort de Giaure information point at 2.1 kilometers, providing you with more insights into the region.
As you make your way along the trail, you will also encounter the Mont Bec Roux peak at 1.07 kilometers, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Further along, at 5.66 kilometers, you will reach the impressive Cime de Barchenzane peak, a must-see on this hike.
Along the route, there are also natural points of interest, including the Fontaine de Peyre fountain at 0.03 kilometers, providing a refreshing stop for hikers. Additionally, be sure to look out for boundary stones and saddles that add to the natural beauty of the area.
