This hiking route is an extremely difficult 12.307-kilometer out-and-back trail that will take you approximately 4 hours and 23 minutes to complete. The trail is located in a picturesque area with stunning natural beauty.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across two parking areas, one of which is just 36 meters away from the trail. Make sure to park your vehicle here before starting your journey. As you hike further along the trail, you will pass by a memorial site located 160 meters from the start, offering a moment of reflection along your adventure.
One of the highlights of this hike is Bengengie Hill, a peak that you will encounter at the 3.7-kilometer mark. Take some time to admire the panoramic views from this vantage point before continuing on your journey. Midway through the hike, you will also reach Wee Torry, another peak with breathtaking views, located at 1.08 kilometers from the start.
The trail culminates at Blairdenon Peak, which is situated 6.15 kilometers into the hike. This is the perfect spot to rest and take in the surrounding natural beauty before starting your return journey.
Due to the length of the trail and the 618 meters of elevation gain, this hike is considered extremely difficult. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Additionally, check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
