This hiking route in the area of South Mountain Morning Exercise Club in Taipei City is a relatively easy out-and-back trail covering a distance of approximately 1.062 kilometers with an elevation gain of 118 meters. The trail takes about 32 minutes to complete and offers various points of interest along the way.
Starting at the Taipei Water Department's Yangming Office parking lot, hikers will find wheelchair-accessible facilities and plenty of parking space. As you make your way along the trail, which is wheelchair-friendly in some sections, you'll come across drinking water stations at various points to ensure you stay hydrated. It is advised to bring your own water as well.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach Jian Tan Mountain, a natural peak where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Nearby, there are shelters and benches for hikers to rest and take in the scenic beauty. At the peak, look out for the water bowl artwork and the Shinsaibashi memorial, blending a historical touch to the journey.
