This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding the "décollage du Grand Ratz" in France. With a total distance of 7.074 kilometers and an elevation gain of 436 meters, this hike is classified as difficult and is estimated to take around 2 hours and 43 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by a convenient parking area at the trailhead. From there, you will make your way towards the "drinking water" point, located just 0.24 kilometers from the starting point, where you can refill your water bottle before continuing on.
About 1.81 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the "vallée de l'Isére" viewpoint, offering a breathtaking vista of the surrounding valley. Further along the trail, at the 2.04-kilometer mark, you will come across the "2003" wayside cross, providing a glimpse into the area's historic past.
Midway through the hike, at the 3.54-kilometer point, you will encounter the "Trou Noir" cave entrance, a fascinating natural feature worth exploring. Additionally, nearby at the same distance, you will find the "Aire de décollage du Grand Ratz" takeoff site, where free-flying enthusiasts can launch into the sky.
