This hiking route takes you on a scenic journey through the beautiful Fuchskanzel area. The trail is 2.119 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 36 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 34 minutes and 49 seconds.
As you start your adventure, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. About 260 meters into the hike, you will find a water source, where you can replenish your supplies. At 930 meters, you will reach the Fuchskanzel viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding natural beauty. Further along the trail, at 350 meters, you will encounter the historic Karlsfried castle.
During your hike, you will also pass by the informational Burgruine Karlsfried site situated only 40 meters from the start. A picnic site and shelter are located midway through the route, providing a perfect spot to rest and refuel. Additionally, you will find various informational points along the trail, offering insights into the area's history and wildlife.
While the trail offers several peaks for climbing enthusiasts, such as Heideturm, Südlicher Uhustein, Nördlicher Uhustein, and Thielknopf, these are a bit off the main trail. It is important to note that the Straßbergturm peak is not directly on the trail and requires a detour to reach.
