This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route leads to the picturesque Piccolo Roite destination. The 13.418-kilometer trail boasts an elevation gain of 1148.0 meters, promising a challenging yet rewarding trek for experienced hikers.
Starting off, you'll find the Albergo al Passo restaurant and the Miramonti bar at the trailhead, offering a convenient spot to grab a bite before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by notable landmarks such as Cima Palon peak, Pian delle Fugazze saddle, and the remnants of the Ex rifugio militare ruins.
Midway through the route, you'll encounter the breathtaking Selletta Damaggio, Sella dei Due Denti, Dente Italiano peak, and Dente Austriaco peak, each providing stunning panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape. Be sure to take a moment to rest at the Colletto Alto di Fieno and Colletto Basso di Fieno saddles, which offer a peaceful respite along the challenging terrain.
As you approach the endpoint at Piccolo Roite, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Piccolo Roite peak and learn about the historic Battaglia degli Altopiani battlefield.
