This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and interesting points of interest. The trail is approximately 2 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 161 meters, making it a relatively easy hike suitable for most skill levels.

Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you'll pass by the Pierre Vieille rock formation early on in the hike. This unique geological feature is a great spot to take some photos and learn more about the area's natural history. Further along the trail, you'll come across the Fil en Vol attraction, where you can enjoy watching birds in flight.

As you continue on, you'll reach the Layat information point, where you can gather more information about the surroundings. Further along the trail, you'll encounter the Vallon des châtaigniers information point, located at an elevation of 570 meters. This spot offers a great vantage point to take in the surrounding scenery.

The turnaround point of this out-and-back hike is the Pierre Vieille rock formation, where you can take a break before heading back the way you came. Make sure to bring plenty of water, as well as snacks, sunscreen, and a hat for sun protection.
