This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Derbyshire Dales area. The trail is relatively short, covering a distance of 1.838 kilometers with no significant elevation gain, making it super easy in terms of difficulty.
As you start your hike, you will come across the parking area, which is conveniently located right at the beginning of the trail, so you can easily park your vehicle before setting off.
One of the early points of interest you will encounter is Millstone Edge, a popular climbing spot just 0.46 kilometers from the start of the trail. This rocky outcrop offers climbers a challenge and a chance to enjoy stunning views from higher ground.
Continuing on, at around 0.58 kilometers from the start, you will find Surprise View, a picturesque viewpoint where you can take a break and admire the surrounding landscape. Nearby, there are benches where you can sit and relax while taking in the scenery.
Further along the trail, at 0.91 kilometers from the start, you will reach Lawrencefield, another climbing area known for its diverse routes and beautiful rock formations. Climbers can test their skills here while enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings.
About midway through the hike, at 0.92 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a water source, providing a refreshing break for hikers to rest and rehydrate before continuing on their journey.
Towards the end of the trail, at 0.71 kilometers from the start, you will find another bench for hikers to rest. The route is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps back to the starting point.
