This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Kalkwand in the beautiful natural surroundings of the area. The trail covers a distance of 9.636 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1243 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
As you embark on this journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Feuerstein restaurant, a perfect spot to grab a bite before beginning your hike. Further along the trail, at a distance of 2.44 kilometers from the start, you will find a bench where you can take a short break and enjoy the scenic views.
At the midpoint of the trail, approximately 3.81 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Innsbrucker Hütte alpine hut. This is a great place to rest and refuel before continuing your journey towards the Pinnisjoch saddle, located at the same distance from the start as the alpine hut.
As you continue your hike, you will encounter several informational points and benches along the way, providing you with insights into the area's natural and historic significance. Be sure to check them out as you make your way towards the Kalkwand peak, which marks the endpoint of this challenging route.
