Welcome to the hiking route on Firstweg!
Firstweg is a moderate 6.833-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 211 meters, making it a great choice for hikers looking for a bit of a challenge. The trail will take you through a beautiful area with stunning viewpoints and interesting points of interest along the way.
As you start your hike, you'll pass by a picnic site and a parking area, where you can prepare yourself and leave your vehicle. Further along the trail, at around 1.2 kilometers from the start, you'll come across several historic memorials, including Brandenburg, Bund der Danziger, Deutsch-Baltische Landsmannschaft, Ostpreußen, and Pommern.
As you continue on your journey, you'll encounter informational points at various locations providing insights into the surroundings and the Geologische Wanderpfade Nordharz (Rabenklippen). Make sure to stop and take in the knowledge shared in these points of interest.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 3.28 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Luchsgehege (Lynx enclosure) and Rabenklippe, a peak offering spectacular views of the area. Take a moment to rest on one of the benches available and enjoy the scenery.
Towards the end of the trail, at around 3.41 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Waldgaststätte Rabenklippe, a biergarten where you can grab a meal or a refreshing beverage before heading back. Don't forget to visit the Rabenklippen viewpoint nearby for one last look at the beauty of the surroundings.
