This challenging hiking route to Punta Gran Gabe offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way. The trail spans approximately 11.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 992 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.
The starting point is at a parking area just 0.3 kilometers from the trailhead. As you begin your journey, you will pass by a wayside shrine at the beginning of the trail, adding a sense of tranquility to your hike. Further along, you will reach Colle della Gragliasca, a saddle point offering beautiful panoramic views at around 5 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Rifugio della Barma, providing a resting point and information about the area. Continuing on, you will pass by Punta Gran Gabe, a peak located approximately 5.75 kilometers from the start, offering a breathtaking vantage point. Along the way, there are also various informational points, water sources, and additional parking areas for convenience.
