Welcome to the Cuerda Larga hiking route!
Located in a beautiful natural area, this circular route offers stunning views and a moderate level of difficulty. With a total distance of 5.026 kilometers and an elevation gain of 332 meters, hikers can expect to spend around 2 hours on the trail.
As you start your journey, you will come across the "Aparcamiento Puerto de La Morcuera" parking area, which is a convenient spot to leave your vehicle. Moving along the trail, you will encounter the "Mirador de Cossío" viewpoint, providing a picturesque panorama of the surrounding landscape at the beginning of the hike.
Continuing onwards, you will reach "La Najarra" peak, located 1.6 kilometers from the start of the trail. This stunning natural feature offers a great vantage point to admire the beauty of the region.
Along the way, you will pass by several other points of interest, such as "Fuente del Pilanquillo" spring, providing a refreshing stop for hikers to rest and rehydrate.
As you approach the midway point of the hike, you will come across "Los Porrones" peak, followed by "Collado de Quebrantaherraduras" peak, offering more opportunities to appreciate the natural surroundings.
Near the end of the route, you will encounter "Collado de las Vacas" peak and "Collado del Piornal" peak, providing a final chance to take in the breathtaking views before completing the circular trail.
