This hiking route takes you to Monte Arcese, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The trail covers a distance of 5.31 kilometers with an elevation gain of 117 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
Starting at the parking area, you will pass by the takeoff site for free flying at Area di decollo per parapendio di Monteripoli, where you can watch paragliders soar through the sky. About 0.9 kilometers from the start, you will find La veduta su Roma, a restaurant where you can grab a meal and enjoy the panoramic vista of Rome.
As you continue on the trail, approximately 1.38 kilometers from the start, you will reach Colle Ripoli, a peak offering breathtaking views. Further along, at 2.42 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Montagna Spaccata, a cave entrance (off-trail) worth exploring. Nearby, at the same distance, you will find another cave entrance on the trail, leading to an interesting underground experience.
At the turnaround point, 2.66 kilometers from the start, you will reach Monte Arcese, another peak with magnificent views. Make sure to visit the fountain along the way to replenish your water supply.
