Located in the stunning Pyrenees mountain range, the hike to Peña Telera is a challenging 13.5 kilometers trek with an elevation gain of 1345 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for those seeking a true outdoor adventure.
You will begin your journey at Aparcamiento Centro Faunistico de los Pirineos, where you can park your car before starting the hike. From here, you will follow the trail and pass by Ibón de Piedrafita, a picturesque water body located 3.24 kilometers from the start. As you continue, you will come across Refugio de Telera o Las Planas, a wilderness hut situated 2.16 kilometers into the hike, perfect for a rest stop and refuel.
Further along the trail, at 2.86 kilometers in, you will encounter a striking rock formation before reaching the highlight of the hike - Peña Telera, a majestic peak located 6.78 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from the top are truly breathtaking and worth every step of the climb.
Throughout the hike, you will also find various information points providing insights into the flora, fauna, and history of the region. It is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging trek.
