The Sentiero del Macchia hiking route is located in a scenic area with a total distance of 7.0 kilometers and an elevation gain of 575.0 meters, making it a challenging route that will take approximately 3 hours and 3 minutes to complete.

As you begin your hike, you will come across a parking area nearby, followed by the Fontana del Gai at a distance of 0.03 kilometers from the start, where you can refill your water supply. Further along the trail at 0.31 kilometers, you will find an information point providing insights into the surroundings.

Continuing on, at around 1.1 kilometers into the hike, there is another information point and at 1.33 kilometers, you will reach the Stoi de Chegul landmark. Just a short distance away, you will find the Doss dei Corvi peak at 2.47 kilometers, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape.

At 3.5 kilometers into the hike, there is a viewpoint where you can take a break and admire the scenery. As you progress further, at 2.22 kilometers, you will reach the Sella della Marzola - Stoi del Chegul information point, providing historical insights about the area.

Throughout the hike, be sure to carry an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging trail. The route is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps on the way back. Be prepared for a strenuous yet rewarding hiking experience in this beautiful natural setting.
