This extremely difficult 13.181-kilometer circular hiking route explores the stunning area around Laserzkopf. With an elevation gain of 1121 meters, this challenging hike will take approximately 5 hours and 51 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast.
The trail starts at a parking area, so you can easily access the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the path, you will encounter various points of interest. About 4.46 kilometers into the hike, you'll find the Karlsbader Hütte, where you can take a break and enjoy a meal at the restaurant or even spend the night at the alpine hut.
As you continue on, you'll come across drinking water stations to refill your water bottle, benches to rest, and information points to learn more about the area. Keep an eye out for the Gedenkkapelle wayside shrine and the Marcherstein memorial along the trail.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 6.48 kilometers, you'll reach the peaks of Grosser Laserzkopf and Grosse Galizenspitze, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. If you're up for a more adventurous experience, the via ferrata route named Wet Foot is also nearby.
Towards the end of the hike, at 4.61 kilometers, you'll find the picturesque Laserzsee, a perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of the area. Just be mindful that this attraction is slightly off the trail.
After completing the challenging hike, you can relax and unwind at the Dolomitenhütte restaurant, located 0.22 kilometers from the trailhead. Remember to take only memories and leave only footprints as you explore the stunning Laserzkopf area.
