This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sasso Rosso, offering stunning views and a moderate level of difficulty. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 4.722 kilometers and an elevation gain of 411 meters.
Starting at the parking area, you will follow the trail and pass by a picnic site and shelter at the beginning of the hike. As you continue along the trail, you will come across a spring, offering a refreshing stop for hikers.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Materone, a peak with a viewpoint providing panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. This is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
Further along the trail, you will find a BBQ area and several benches to rest and refuel. Drinking water stations are also available along the route to keep you hydrated.
The endpoint of the hike is Sasso Rosso, another peak offering breathtaking views. Information boards are placed along the trail to provide insight into the area's history and landmarks.
