Welcome to the John Pat Dorrian Trail in Des Moines! This hiking route is a super easy out-and-back trail with a total distance of 0.616 kilometers and zero elevation gain.

As you start your hike, you'll come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a convenient parking area just 7.5 meters away. About 130 meters into the trail, there is a water source for you to refill your bottles.

Further along the trail, at around 310 meters, you'll reach the Raun Reflection Garden and a fountain. If you need a break, there are benches located at 150 meters, 90 meters, and 230 meters from the starting point. A bit off the trail at 310 meters, you'll find a sheltered area and a beautiful waterfall just a short distance away.

For art enthusiasts, the Spectral Liberation artwork is located 47 meters away from the trail, providing a unique cultural touch to your hike. Lastly, there are bicycle parking spots at 40 meters and 30 meters from the start of the trail, allowing cyclists to easily access the route.
