Welcome to the John Pat Dorrian Trail in Des Moines! This super easy hiking route offers a pleasant outdoor experience for all skill levels.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll find convenient parking just 7 meters away. As you begin your hike, you'll pass by a lovely water source located 130 meters into the trail, perfect for refilling your water bottle. Further along, at the 0.04-kilometer mark, you'll spot bicycle parking facilities on both sides of the trail.

Midway through your hike, at the 0.15-kilometer mark, you'll come across a peaceful bench where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding scenery. Continuing on, at the 0.23-kilometer mark, you'll encounter the Raun Reflection Garden and a stunning waterfall to admire.

For art enthusiasts, Spectral Liberation artwork awaits you at the 0.04-kilometer mark along the trail. Additionally, there are more benches and a fountain at various points along the trail for your convenience.

Before setting out on your hike, be sure to bring an adequate supply of water, as there are limited water sources along the trail. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast beforehand and wear appropriate hiking footwear.
