This hiking route takes you through the stunning Ammergauer Kreuzspitz area, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience. The trail spans a distance of 11 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1052 meters, taking approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes to complete. The difficulty level is classified as difficult due to the length and elevation of the hike.

Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Weiser für 317 boundary stone, a historic landmark located just 0.05 kilometers from the starting point. As you continue, you will come across the Hundinghütte ruins at 0.79 kilometers from the start, providing a glimpse into the area's historic past.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Schwarzenköpfel peak, situated 4.47 kilometers from the start, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further ahead, at 5.5 kilometers from the start, lies the Ammergauer Kreuzspitz peak, the highlight of the trail, where you can marvel at the breathtaking scenery.

Additionally, there are two springs, Bei den sieben Quellen, located at 0.52 kilometers and 1.2 kilometers from the start respectively, providing a refreshing stop along the way.
