This hiking route will take you on a challenging journey to the peak of Punta Ruines, located in a beautiful natural area. The trail is an out-and-back type, measuring 8.981 kilometers in distance with an elevation gain of 1250 meters, making it extremely difficult.
As you start your hike, you will pass by several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning, you will find parking facilities for your convenience. Further along the trail, you will come across the Sant'Antonio wayside shrine, offering a glimpse into the area's historic significance. Midway through your journey, you can refill your water supply at the drinking water station.
One of the highlights of this hike is reaching the peak of Punta Ruines, which is approximately 4.49 kilometers from the start. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, along the way back, you will pass by Colle Ruines, a saddle point offering a picturesque setting.
Given the length and elevation of the hike, it is important to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
