This hiking route to Mokrica offers a challenging adventure through the picturesque alpine landscape. Starting at the trailhead, you will embark on a 16.591-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1808 meters, making it an extremely difficult trek that will take approximately 8 hours and 21 minutes to complete.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by the Cojzova koča na Kokrskem sedlu alpine hut, situated 2.59 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and soak in the stunning mountain views. Along the way, you will also come across various information points that provide insights into the natural and cultural highlights of the region.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 7.6 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Kompotela, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding peaks. As you continue onwards, you will encounter the peaks of Mokrica, Vrh Korena, and Škrbina, each providing unique viewpoints and rewarding experiences.

The trail culminates at Mokrica, the destination of this out-and-back route, where you can marvel at the beauty of the natural surroundings before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
