This extremely difficult 12.37-kilometer out-and-back hiking route takes you through the beautiful area around Katzensee. Make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.

As you start your hike, you will pass by Camping Grünenfelder Ricken, a campsite located right at the beginning of the trail. Further along, you'll come across Hotel Post and Adler, two accommodations where you can rest and refuel before continuing your journey.

Midway through the hike, you'll reach Katzensee, a stunning natural water feature where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As you make your way back, make sure to stop by Rest. Schweizerhaus and Rest. Adler for some delicious sustenance.

For additional information and tourist resources, you can visit Ricken, an information point located along the trail. Remember to pace yourself and take breaks as needed, as the elevation gain of 390 meters can be quite strenuous.
