The trail kicks off at the parking area, situated just a stone's throw away from the starting point. As you start your journey, you will pass by a tranquil water body, providing a serene setting for some moments of peace and reflection. Not far from the water body, you'll encounter the Neunkirchner Hütte alpine hut, where you can take a breather and soak in the stunning surroundings.

Continuing on, you will reach the Eselsbachfall waterfall, a majestic natural wonder that beckons visitors to admire its beauty. Further along the trail, you'll find the Hölzerhütte restaurant, offering a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat and refuel for the remainder of the hike.

As you trek onwards, you'll pass by informative signposts providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and history of the area. Several benches are strategically placed along the trail, offering hikers a chance to rest and admire the views.

The trail culminates at the Almbodensteg destination, where you can revel in the sense of accomplishment and take in the breathtaking panoramic vistas that surround you. Remember to bring an ample water supply, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting off on this 3.995-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 512 meters.
