This hiking route, known as Caminho do Lombo do Doutor, offers a super easy trail to explore the beautiful surroundings. The route is circular, starting and ending at the same point. The total distance of the hike is approximately 1.956 kilometers with an elevation gain of 73 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking space at the trailhead, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this adventure. About 0.04 kilometers into the hike, you'll pass by Fonte de São Pedro, a drinking water source where you can refill your bottles and stay hydrated.

Further along the trail, at around 0.71 kilometers from the start, another drinking water point, Fonte da Levada Chada, can be found. It's important to replenish your water supply here, especially on warmer days.

After enjoying the serene surroundings and completing most of the trail, at approximately 0.84 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Grelhador Público, a public BBQ area. This might be a perfect spot to take a break, have a snack, and soak in the natural beauty of the area.

As you make your way back towards the starting point, around 0.84 kilometers, you'll find a shelter at a distance of 171 meters. This could be a great place to rest or take shelter if needed.
