This hiking route will take you through the breathtaking area surrounding Lipnik. The trail is 18.189 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 852 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across the historic ruins at a distance of 2.11 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the route, at 3.6 kilometers, you will find a natural water source. It is recommended to refill your water bottles here as the next drinking water point is 0.52 kilometers away at the halfway point.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter several notable points of interest, including peaks such as Hudi vrh at 8.27 kilometers and Lipnik at 9.09 kilometers. Planina Zapleč parking area is located at the start of the trail, providing a convenient place to leave your vehicle before embarking on the hike.

Historical monuments and memorials can be found along the way, with attractions like Spomenik brigada »Ivan Gradnik« at 5.59 kilometers, Križ avstro-ogrskega 20. lovskega bataljona at 6.24 kilometers, and Spominsko obeležje italijanskega poročnika Vita Nerija at 1.85 kilometers. These sites offer a glimpse into the rich history of the area.

Additionally, make sure to visit the Italian cave from World War I at 2.18 kilometers and the cave entrance at 6.17 kilometers for a unique experience. Information points along the trail provide insights into the surroundings and add educational value to your hike.
