This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Hohestein. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 4.315 kilometers and an elevation gain of 197 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your hike, you will pass by Wanderparkplatz Hitzelrode, a wheelchair-accessible parking area located right at the beginning of the trail. Continuing on, you will come across the archaeological site Brandwall at around 1.7 kilometers into the hike, providing a glimpse into the area's historic significance.
Around 1.93 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter another archaeological site, also named Brandwall, located directly on the trail. As you hike further, you will pass by a water feature at 0.0 kilometers from the trail.
One of the highlights of this hike is the Aussichtspunkt Hohestein, a wheelchair-inaccessible viewpoint located at 2.01 kilometers from the start of the trail, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the hike, you will find several benches and boundary stones conveniently placed along the trail for resting and taking in the scenery. Additionally, there are parking areas such as Wanderparkplatz Mühlbachtal along the route for easy access to the trail.
