This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area filled with historical and natural landmarks. The trail is 8.789 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 241 meters, making it a moderately difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 38 minutes to complete.
Starting at the Urkiaga parking area, you'll first come across the Zaguako etxola shelter at 1.95 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail at 2.64 kilometers is the Cromlechs Otarra Bizkarra 1-3, an archaeological site where you can learn about the area's ancient history.
As you continue your journey, you'll pass by the Cromlechs Buztanberro 1-4 at 3.61 kilometers, another fascinating archaeological site worth exploring. At 3.91 kilometers, you'll find a natural spring where you can refill your water bottle.
Midway through the hike at 4.39 kilometers is the peak known as Iparraldeko Kaskoa, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to capture some photos from this vantage point.
Towards the end of the trail at 3.25 kilometers is Artsalgo Gaina, another peak that's slightly off the main trail. If you have the energy, it's worth the detour for more breathtaking views.
