This hiking route will take you on a challenging journey through the stunning natural beauty of the area around Lago Croce. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 13.912 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1281 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will test your endurance and strength.

As you start your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the Rifugio Carlo Emilio, an alpine hut where you can rest and recharge before continuing your journey. Further along the trail, you will encounter Lago Nero, a picturesque lake just 4.79 kilometers from the start, and Lago del Forato, located 6.24 kilometers from the beginning.

Midway through the hike, you will find Lago Croce, another beautiful lake that is perfect for a peaceful break and a chance to take in the breathtaking scenery. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks with you, as there are limited facilities along the trail. There are also several drinking water stations conveniently located along the route to keep you hydrated.
