This hike takes you on a challenging 8.559-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 593 meters in the scenic area around Rifugio Monte Tondo. The route is an out-and-back trail, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back.

As you start your hike, you will pass by various points of interest. Just 0.01 kilometers from the start, you will find a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle. Shortly after, at 0.06 kilometers, there is a drinking water station where you can fill up your bottles.

Continuing along the trail, at 0.08 kilometers, you will come across Locanda Il Castagno, a charming restaurant where you can refuel with some delicious food. As you trek further, at 2.16 kilometers, there is a stunning viewpoint offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape.

Midway through the hike, at 4.28 kilometers, you will reach Rifugio Monte Tondo, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the picturesque surroundings. This is a great spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the area.

It's important to note that the trail also passes by Pizzeria Trattoria Nobili, a restaurant located at 0.14 kilometers from the start, in case you want to grab a bite to eat either before or after your hike.

Given the length and elevation gain of the trail, this hike is considered difficult and is more suitable for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
