This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Poggio Tesori. The trail is 8.466 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 548.0 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding hike that will take approximately 3 hours and 19 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Monastero di Camaldoli, a historic monastery located right at the beginning of the trail. Further along the path, you will find the Fonte Bona drinking water source, perfect for refilling your water bottle to stay hydrated during the hike.
At around 2 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak of Poggio Muschioso, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing onwards, you will encounter the Rifugio Secchieta shelter, providing a resting spot for hikers to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
The trail leads you to the highlight of the hike, the Poggio Tesori peak, located approximately 4.23 kilometers from the start. Reach the summit and take in the panoramic views that make the challenging journey worth it.
