This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Pointe de Paray in the area. The route covers a distance of 11.435 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1266 meters, so be prepared for a challenging hike that will take approximately 5 hours and 48 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 0.7 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the beautiful Lac de Coudré, a perfect spot to take in the natural beauty and maybe even have a quick break.
Further along the trail, at around 0.03 kilometers from the start, there is an information point where you can learn more about the surroundings and the hike ahead. Midway through your hike, at 1.94 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Cabane Bounavaux alpine hut, offering a potential resting spot and shelter.
As you continue on, you'll reach the Pointe de Paray peak at 5.72 kilometers from the start, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. Additionally, at 4.54 kilometers from the start, you can also explore the Vanil de l'Ecri peak for even more stunning sights.
