This challenging hiking route takes you to the peak of Kuhmesser, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The trail spans 3.868 kilometers with an elevation gain of 550 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by points of interest such as Alpengasthof Loas, a restaurant just 0.04 kilometers from the start where you can grab a bite to eat before your hike. As you continue on, you will come across Loassattel, a saddle located right at the beginning of the trail.
Midway through the hike, you will reach a bench where you can take a rest and soak in the scenery. Further along the trail, you will find information points that provide insight into the area's history and landmarks.
Towards the end of the hike, Dr. Walter Waizer Memorial stands as a historic monument near the peak of Kuhmesser. The route is an out-and-back type, so you will retrace your steps on the way back to the trailhead.
