Estrada Regional 209

This hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Estrada Regional 209. The total distance of the hike is approximately 8.935 kilometers with an elevation gain of 301 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.

Starting off, you will pass by Lagoa do Fanal, a beautiful water feature located at a distance of 2.39 kilometers from the trail start. Continuing on, at 3.19 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Fanal, a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. Keep an eye out for the Levada dos cedros information point at 3.53 kilometers into the hike.

Midway through the journey, at around 4.38 kilometers, you will come across a viewpoint where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. As you make your way back, around 2.12 kilometers from the trail start, there is a lovely picnic site perfect for a rest stop.
